چکیده
Background: Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed among females. A source of sampling for clinical diagnosis saliva which has been utilized and it a promising approach as collecting relatively easy non-invasive. Over past two decades, utilizing biomarker, specifically early attracted much research interest. Aim: To alter sample collection from blood to some components such nitric oxide (NO) arginase, in order detect an easy, earlier noninvasive diagnostic test biomarkers prognostic tools patients with breast cancer. Methods: total 73 female volunteers were participated this study, 25 healthy compared 48 estimate compare both salivary level NO arginase. Results: The mean samples arginase levels significantly raised when they controls (p<0.001). Conclusions: In study changing may be used non-invasive tool alternative serum testing component, increased also, tumor progression tests diagnosing

[Clinical significance of nitric oxide in hypertension].
Vascular endothelial cells produce various biologically active factors regulating blood pressure, coagulation, and possibly cell growth of the vascular wall. Of the factors, nitric oxide (NO) has been the object of attention because of its quite simple molecular structure and variety of biological functions. In the present review, we focused on the physiologic and pathologic aspects of NO in hy...
متن کاملSerum, urinary, and salivary nitric oxide in rheumatoid arthritis: complexities of interpreting nitric oxide measures
Nitric oxide (NO) may play important roles in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RA is an inflammatory disease involving joints and other systems including salivary glands. To assess NO production in RA patients, we compared levels of serum, urine, and salivary nitrite and nitrate (NOx) in patients with RA and normal subjects, and we examined the relationships of these measures to disease activity. Ser...

Objective(s): Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women worldwide. This study investigated the expression and clinical significance of activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) in human breast cancer and its relationship with the clinical outcome of breast cancer. Materials and Methods : ATF3 expressions were detected in 114 primary breast cancer tissues and ...
متن کاملArginase activity and nitric oxide levels may be considered as tumor markers in breast cancer
Article history: Received on: 06/08/2012 Revised on: 29/08/2012 Accepted on: 07/09/2012 Available online: 28/10/2012 To investigate the relationship of breast cancer with serum arginase activity and nitric oxide levels. Arginase (L-arginine ureohidrolase, EC. 3.5.3.1) is the last enzyme of urea cycle which converts arginine into urea and ornithine. nitric oxide, a product of L-arginine and nitr...
متن کاملStatin-induced breast cancer cell death: role of inducible nitric oxide and arginase-dependent pathways.
Statins are widely used cholesterol-lowering drugs that selectively inhibit the enzyme 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl CoA reductase, leading to decreased cholesterol biosynthesis. Emerging data indicate that statins stimulate apoptotic cell death in several types of proliferating tumor cells, including breast cancer cells, which is independent of its cholesterol-lowering property. The objective her...
